VLAN

A Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) is a network segmentation method that logically partitions a physical network into multiple virtual networks. VLANs allow network administrators to group devices and users based on functional or organizational needs, regardless of their physical location. This logical segmentation helps reduce broadcast traffic, improve network security, and simplify network management. VLANs can be configured to isolate different types of traffic, such as separating guest and internal traffic, or grouping devices by department. By using VLANs, organizations can enhance network efficiency, security, and scalability while maintaining a flexible and manageable network infrastructure.
