EIGRP

Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a Cisco proprietary advanced distance-vector routing protocol used for managing routing within an autonomous system. EIGRP combines the features of distance-vector and link-state protocols to provide efficient and scalable routing. It uses the Diffusing Update Algorithm (DUAL) to calculate the shortest path and ensure fast convergence times. EIGRP supports multiple network layer protocols and provides features such as route summarization, load balancing, and reliable transport of routing updates. Its ability to adapt to changes and manage complex network topologies makes it suitable for large and dynamic enterprise networks.
