Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security feature that enhances access protection by requiring users to provide multiple forms of verification before granting access to Azure resources or applications. This additional layer of security typically includes something the user knows (like a password), something the user has (such as a phone or hardware token), and something the user is (biometric verification). MFA helps protect against unauthorized access, even if passwords are compromised, by ensuring that multiple factors must be verified before access is granted. Azure MFA supports various verification methods, including SMS, voice calls, mobile app notifications, and biometric factors, providing flexible and robust security for user accounts and sensitive data.
